Full Color was founded on a principal of music without constraints. Hailing from the northern suburbs of Greater Boston, The members of Full Color pull their influences from the diverse musical culture of the city. The 4-piece band is centered in Rock & Roll, but as classically trained musicians, their music is dynamic and diverse, crossing many different genres, from Surf Rock to Metal; Jazz to Pop Punk, Classical to Ambient.
Full Color was founded by guitarist Eric Schaeffer, with two local musicians and friends, who have since parted ways with the project. Originally consisting of a pop singer, an EDM/Trap producer, and a classically trained guitarist, the band’s sound has always been unique. The challenges faced with member switchover, world-wide pandemics, and cramped practice spaces, and generally existing as queer musicians has never deterred the momentum and passion of both past and present members of Full Color.
Current members of Full Color include Eric Schaeffer (Guitarist/Vocals/Production), Torin “Aspen” List (Percussion), Finley Fletcher (Vocals/Synthesizers/Hand Percussion), and Andrew Milstead (Bass/Vocals). Currently unsigned, the band handles everything in-house, practicing in a basement of Eric’s house in Medford, MA, handling their own social media presence, and commissioning local artists for their marketing materials. They are in the midst of self-recording, mixing and mastering their first EP, “Who’s to blame?”, which will be available on all streaming services later in the Fall.
The band keeps their performances energetic, refreshing, and appealing to wide audiences. By combining rigorous compositional study with natural improvisational instinct, their music is harmonically rich and melodic, encouraging the audience to get involved with singable hooks, energetic stage presence, and tight technical prowess.
